The Irish Government have committed to providing a grant of €5,000 and and an exemption from paying Vehicle Registration tax (VRT) to motorists who buy electric cars.
The Grant system for Electric vehicles is being operated by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and full details of the system and how it works will be released shortly.
